Version is not aligned with community standards

Thank you for the amazing work you put into this plugin.

All Capacitor plugins with Capacitor 7 support are versioned as 7.x.x.
Is it possible to fix this plugin, too?

I saw that you made some commit about the Capacitor v7 support some months ago but I still not see any release on v7.
Did you encounter some challenges regarding this update ? What is needed to make the v7 release happen ?

Oh my bad, sorry for the unnecessary spam.

I saw that the version 6 of the plugin already support the Capacitor v7. It just that the plugin major version are not sync with the capacitor major version.
Would it be more explicit to create a little table with a version compatibility matrix ?

This plugins's version became out of sync with capacitor versioning a while back when a breaking feature was introduced.

Since the same thing could potentially happen in the future, I think a table is a good idea. Something like this.
