This is within a Gentoo Prefix (https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Prefix) running on a NixOS host.

This either has the highlight styles or the terminal color scheme set to red blinking.

Thanks for the pointers. I did not configure anything, but I can't imagine myself ever wanting this to be the default.

I tried to override the highlight style, but the docs are very terse and I did not succeed.

How would I use carapace --style ... or https://github.com/rsteube/vincent? I installed the latter and can browse color themes, but not set them for carapace completion.
