Orientation Lock

Is there a way to lock the orientation to portrait (ie I don't want the rectangle and logo to move on the camera view when the device is rotated. Why - My app is portrait only)?

I have tried setting in the manifest with no success:

android:configChanges="orientation"
android:screenOrientation="portrait"

I second this - Only my app is landscape only.

This is a very important issue for most of us. I really dont understand, why dev team does not take it so serious ?
Issue was created on 2013 Nov and today is 2016 May. :(
