SDR++ or the others, software compatibility

Hi everyone, i've ask to the ask software application (Linux and Android) compatibility cariboulite? For example i wanna use that https://github.com/demantz/RFAnalyzer and SDR++ is it possible im not sure about that. I hope someone was used and experienced of that or can examine the sitution. thanx.

Never tried w/Android, you'd need to be able to compile everything in Android, along with SoapySDR - which I don't know supports Android, either. RFAnalyzer doesn't list it and doesn't list SoapySDR - if you find a port of it that supports SoapySDR, then it would probably work with it. SDR++ supports SoapySDR so its likely it will work. openwebrx has worked for me long ago, but you need specific settings that I don't have noted down anymore. Its possible you might find them if you look through the Issues of this repo.

I was hope this so i've seen that nobody tried that, maybe someone is come and commit in. I do not know could i do but i'd try use with Android and i'm gonna look the issues.

I used the cariboulite with sdr++. However to get this to work is indeed not easy and it requires SoapySDR. To make it work, you have to build sdr++ from source, with additional settings.

I got it working with SDR++ and SDR++ Brown, like @Habraken mentioned you need to include SoapySDR support. You might be able to just add SoapySDR under modules (I haven't tried that but it's worth checking first), if not you will need rebuild from scratch with SoapySDR support. I forked the repo and have a markdown file with the steps if someone needs them.

I am using SDRPlusPlusBrown which is the maintained SDRPlusPlus fork. The SMI driver and the whole cariboulite radio stack had lots of issues for me so I started fixing it. Stuff like SMI timeouts, sync, lockups during frequency change, radio being stuck... lots of stuff. I got it working to a very stable state for RX and now I'm focusing on TX.

If you only need the server on your pi and you will be connecting to it from another computer maybe you can speed up the SDR++ Brown compile with this cmake from @Habraken;
