Thank you for submitting this lesson to The Carpentries Incubator, @jt14den. I have one concern that I'd like your input on before I set things up for you to transfer the repo. According to my current understanding, there is a danger of granting the tool access to the full filesystem. Advice I have encountered is to run these tools in a restricted environment, e.g. a Docker container, to limit the possible consequences if/when something goes wrong. At the moment, your software setup instructions instruct learners to install directly onto their system, which I would consider quite risky. Would you be willing to adjust the lesson setup instructions to include a step for installing in a container?

@tobyhodges We're planning on teaching this next month here at UCLA. @kjallen, who's co-teaching, shared this https://docs.docker.com/ai/sandboxes/ and we are meeting soon to do some lesson planning. Do you have any tips or resources?

I don't have the expertise to make any specific recommendations, but I would love to see the lesson use something like the Sandbox you linked and include some discussion of why using one would be sensible.
