Assignment cannot be submitted if no portfolio is selected (edge case)

This issue is similar to the one reported here #103. We had this issue reported as well, but it was resolved after the fix was applied. However, it seems like an edge case remains when the submission settings require students to click the submit button:

In this case, if:

• Mahara submissions are enabled together with File and/or Online text submissions;
• The student submits only a File and/or Online text, but no Mahara portfolio;

When the student clicks the 'Submit' button, the following error is displayed on the screen:

@dragos5436 can you please confirm the exact version of the plugin you are using that shows this issue? - we made a few changes to this code recently and I want to make sure you are using the latest version before we go looking.

Yes, we are currently using the MOODLE_405_STABLE branch, version 2026020200. I tested this two days ago so the version hasn't changed since then.
