i tried to setup my first tmux.conf

but somehow this happening

What terminal and platform are you using? I'd also suggest removing all other plugins to see if there's an issue somewhere else

im using kali in wsl

Kali is a distribution, so shouldn't matter much here.

Which terminal are you using? That will have the biggest impact
