no input for HID on macOS

"Hey all - is HID broken in the new Mac version of MiniAudicle? I just updated a machine and now if I try to use KB I get nothing unless using command line version of ChucK (1.5.1.3). Example, if I run kb.ck form the examples, it reports my keyboard is ready, but never outputs any down messages. Runs fine in terminal, and on PC. Haven't tried non-M1 Mac"
