The CCI DRS (Directory Reference Syntax) is a set of key parameters to classify CCI ECV datasets and enable users to discover them. These are defined in a specification document. We now want to encode them in SKOS to enable better management and mapping of relationships between terms.
The terms are:
- Organisation (equiv. to Institute in CMIP5 DRS)
- Processing Level
- Platform
- Sensor
- Algorithm
- ECV Name
- Variable
- Frequency (i.e. temporal resolution)
- (Spatial Resolution) - needs clarification
Each of these terms itself has a vocabulary of terms aka Concept Scheme. In some case these have been defined, where they don't exist yet new issues have been raised.
The CCI DRS should be a concept scheme which contains all the concept schemes for the list above.
