Other Plex Users History Being Added To My Trakt History On Sync

Hi folks,

Just wondering if I've set something up wrong?

I use this for Plex to Trakt syncing. I ran a sync and it added a few items to my history that a couple other users have watched.

My users are just users that have library access. They aren't part of my Plex Home group. I have no one a part of that.

In the Plex connection section I have my username filled in with account ID being 1.

Is there something else I'm missing to stop other users watch history being sync'd over? I'm not sure if I'm missing something in the instructions.

Interesting. Did you use the user picker to select your user and ID?

First step is to enable debug:

After that sync again.

In your docker console/log check for logging that includes: PLEX history index_done ... token_acct_id=1 selected=1
If that is the case, the filtering works. This looks more like an edge case in how Plex history rows are filtered. When Plex returns a watch entry without user or account metadata, CrossWatch currently includes it.

Since you mentioned “a few items”, I assume this does not affect everything, correct? Are these older or recent items, and does it happen consistently?

Also note that the current Plex adapter merges two Plex sources into one history view:

• Plex history via srv.history(), actual watch events with timestamps.
• Marked watched state via the library scan, items currently marked as watched in Plex, including manually marked items.

This distinction matters. If the wrong items come from event history, it points to user or account filtering. If they come from marked watched state, it is a different path. To confirm this, temporarily disable marked watched in your pair and test again.
