QoS in krbd

I am inquiring about the current status and roadmap for Ceph CSI releases for 2026.
Context:
We are deploying Ceph CSI in a large-scale stretch cluster configuration for Disaster Recovery. Our workload requires the high performance of the krbd driver, as rbd-nbd introduces unacceptable latency.
Challenges:
QoS / Noisy Neighbor: We need to enforce IOPS limits to prevent noisy neighbor issues. Since krbd does not support the standard librbd QoS parameters (unlike rbd-nbd), we are looking for the recommended approach or upcoming features to address this.
Fast Failover: We require rapid volume detach/attach cycles to satisfy our RTO requirements during DR events.
Questions:
What is the latest stable Ceph CSI release, and when is the next major version expected?
Are there upcoming features in the roadmap specifically targeting krbd QoS or improved fencing/detach speeds for stretch clusters?
