Rum balls

From family recipe book. A holiday classic.

Ingredients

• 1 cup finely crushed vanilla wafers (30-36)
• 1 cup confectioner's sugar
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 2 tbsp. cocoa
• 2 tbsp. light corn syrup
• 1/4 cup rum
• granulated sugar to coat

Directions

1. Mix vanilla wafers, sugar, pecans, and cocoa. Stir well.
2. Add corn syrup and rum. mix well.
3. Shape into balls with wet fingertips, then roll in granulated sugar.
4. Store in warm, dark covered jar or can for 1 week.
