📋 OVERVIEW

This directory contains technical assessment scripts used to evaluate candidates for positions within the ScrollVerse ecosystem. These tests assess real-world skills across our primary technology stack.


🎯 PURPOSE

The technical test scripts serve multiple purposes:

  1. Candidate Evaluation: Assess technical competency for hiring
  2. Skill Verification: Validate claimed expertise in specific technologies
  3. Cultural Fit: Ensure alignment with ScrollVerse values and coding standards
  4. Onboarding: Help new team members understand our technical standards

1. React Native (/react-native)

Mobile application development tests for iOS/Android platforms.

Skills Assessed:

  • Component architecture and state management
  • Navigation and routing
  • API integration and async operations
  • UI/UX implementation
  • Testing and debugging

Difficulty Levels: Junior, Mid-level, Senior

2. Solidity (/solidity)

Smart contract development tests for blockchain engineering.

Skills Assessed:

  • Smart contract design patterns
  • Security best practices
  • Gas optimization
  • Testing and deployment
  • OpenZeppelin integration

Difficulty Levels: Junior, Mid-level, Senior

3. JavaScript/Node.js (/javascript)

Full-stack JavaScript development tests.

Skills Assessed:

4. Python (/python)

Candidates are evaluated on:

2. Functionality (30%)

  • Meets all requirements
  • Handles edge cases
  • Error handling
  • Input validation

3. Best Practices (20%)

  • Follows language-specific conventions
  • Uses appropriate design patterns
  • Security considerations
  • Performance optimization

4. Testing (10%)

  • Unit tests included
  • Test coverage
  • Edge case testing
  • Documentation of test approach

5. Documentation (10%)

  • Clear README
  • Code comments
  • Usage instructions
  • Assumptions documented

🚀 HOW TO USE

For Hiring Managers

  1. Select appropriate test based on position level
  2. Send test description and starter code to candidate
  3. Set clear deadline (typically 3-7 days for completion)
  4. Provide evaluation using criteria above
  5. Review solution with reference implementation

For Candidates

  1. Read test description carefully
  2. Review evaluation criteria
  3. Use provided starter code (if applicable)
  4. Implement solution following best practices
  5. Include tests and documentation
  6. Submit within specified timeframe

For Contributors

  1. Follow existing test patterns
  2. Include comprehensive instructions
  3. Provide starter code when appropriate

Total Score: 100 points

Score Range Rating Decision
90-100 Excellent Strong hire recommendation
75-89 Good Hire with specific role placement
60-74 Adequate Consider for junior roles or with training
Below 60 Needs Improvement Not recommended at this time

  • Test solutions should NOT be shared publicly
  • Reference solutions are for internal use only
  • Maintain candidate privacy
  • Do not discuss specific candidate performance outside evaluation team
