Bitnami charts replacement

Hello there,

Broadcom (the entreprise behind Bitnami) made an announcement that they will make all images legacy and will only provide development images with no versionning. To get access to the versionning, you will need to get a paid license.
Will Chatwoot make changes to their chart, starting August, 28th so people on K8s won’t be affected by that?

Yes, they browned out the repo, which caused my Chatwoot deployment to go down. then I found that Chatwoot uses Bitnami images. Any suggestions for a temporary or permanent solution?

I'm considering replacing the Redis and PostgreSQL deployments with my own instances.

Hey @yfhui. I think this could be the best solution until Chatwoot decides to use official Kubernetes images.
You can also use Docker Swarm, which is simpler to use, if you are only hosting Chatwoot on a cluster.

@Micorksen thanks for your reply, I updated the redis docker image to bitnamilegacy repo as a temporary fix.

No problem. Try to avoid as much as possible non-official images unless you have to use them. Privilege official images when you can (no "author" like "redis" or images like from the software provider like "chatwoot/chatwoot").
I think it also should be the resort of the maintainers of this repository.

ran into this, update this in the helm chart so when someone installs they get bitnamilegacy ... till a better solution is available?

the redis.image.repository isn't in the values.yaml so it wasn't obvious that i could set the value here

Hey, I saw they did a commit to use bitnamilegacy/redis.
I belive that would just fix the issue on the spot, but not for a long term production use.
