The service is not stable enough, I understand some external services are used to check versions and find download links, but when the service is down, we are getting trouble installing things.

The service was not down, it was due to the mismatch of the version of the package. The source code of the service is provided on api, it'd be appreciated if you could improve it, by returning a better error message indicating package not found.
