There are various tools available for automating software release procedures, e.g. continuous integration via GitHub Actions. These could be used to streamline the release procedure for the software. A good first step would be just documenting the current release procedure and then seeing which steps are most easily automated. @pryoung I believe I remember seeing your release checklist on your website at some point but now I don't seem to be able to find it. Would you mind posting a link to that here if it is public?
