@hmaffin I was a bit confused by this: I presume you see an issue if you try to define a _resetPins property? This functionality doesn't actually exist at the moment(!) It's an oversight in the schema, which makes me think you're using the Authoring Tool? I will look at adding this functionality in and there will be the expectation that the label is defined in course.json as you suggest.

This is when you are in the settings for your component in the AT and if you dont fill in every box with labels for the buttons etc as seen here.....

you just get this when you preview...

So you either need to pull the defaults from the whole course to prevent it requiring them, or take out all the options in the schema for the AT maybe?

I'm not sure what is happening because the schema is the same as the core question components with respect to buttons. So, for example if you create an MCQ, do you see the same in the AT?
