BUG: Avatar only displays on page update when joining/leaving a group

Bug:

When a user clicks on the join group button within a GroupDetail.js page the user is added to the group and the user receives a notification however the profile avatar image doesn't display correctly until the page is refreshed. The same applies to leaving a group, the avatar image stays despite the notification until the page is refreshed. If a user joins a group and then clicks leave straight away, the leave button updates back to no members text or avatar.
