Text message history is invisible

System: Windows 11, Android Message Desktop 3.1.0

I'm able to write a text message , but no text message (incoming or sent) is displayed in the right main window.
Only the very few words of the most recent text message is visible in the small left window showing all contacts with SMS-history.

Could you kindly advise how to rectify this behavior?
