Contributions to envoy proxy usually require unique skills and knowledge. In addition, Cilium's Envoy proxy is an integral part of many advanced features.

👍 come to think of it, we should probably have a "contributing" section in the readme for that repository to encourage people to contribute to the upstream project first, since this is intended as a minimal fork with some Cilium-specific filters and not a completely independent project from upstream Envoy.
