/source/dkms.conf does not exist

Trying to build this into the kernel, but when running:

sudo dkms build -m rtl88x2bu -v ${VER}

I got the following error:

Error! Could not locate dkms.conf file.
/source/dkms.conf does not exist..7.1

This is running in a subdirectory of my home directory. I have dkms.conf here. I copied it to /source/dkms.conf, but that did not fix the issue.

I had a problem before when I copied the instructions from a Windows computer and the directory name in /usr/src had a ctrl-M appended to it. I renamed the directory and got further in the build, but stuck here.
