First, thank you for developing this marvelous tool. A recent bout of sickness left me unable to type complete sentences or spell anything correctly, but I was able to formulate the text audibly. Case in point, I am typing this using Handy with minimal corrections to the text.

The feedback I wish to offer is in regards to audio pickup using the shortcut key in which the first couple of syllables or words are dropped from the resultant text. Though this did happen occasionally using the previous version, since the update it has happened on almost every snippet of recording. It especially happens when the recorded phrase is short, but not so much for longer sentences as evidenced by the text so far, which hasn't required that I type in the first words of each sentence.

When I record, I usually hold down the shortcut keys until I have formulated the complete sentence, then speak. So ideally, the duration of the recording should be the duration of the time I hold down the keys. Perhaps I am incorrect, but it seems to me that the recording begins when I begin speaking, and so the first part of it is not captured.

Alternatively, perhaps it is an issue with the software and clipboard or some combination thereof. The examples provided above were all spoken into comment boxes within Microsoft Word 2021. However, when trying to repeat those examples here, I have much the same issue. The longer the sentence, and you can see I favour long sentences, the more accurate the text.

Anyhow, I hope this is comprehensive, but if you need me to record my experience or if there is a log I can provide, please let me know. I would be happy to to do so.

Hi on different systems there is some latency to start the microphone subsystem. I've measured it between 100-200ms on my system. If this is a big issue for you, you can try the other microphone mode (Always on Microphone) in the debug settings (ctrl/cmd+shift+d) which keeps the subsystem running the whole time, but not listening to anything until you hit the keys.

I don't believe anything has changed in recent versions related to these systems, so maybe just restarting the computer or something might help too.
