Bug Description

Linux version does not allow transcribe shortcut to be a single key. In the Windows version I use The backtick key for the transcribe shortcut. The same is not possible in Linux.

I've been hit by this too (as a completely new user) - I have a Mic/F5 button on my keyboard, removed it from Mic silence toggle shortcut in Cinnamon (Linux Mint), tried assigning it to Handy but it doesn't react to it at all. So I remapped it to something else (Nuphy keyboard), that something else being "F24", now config UI recognizes F24 press when trying to assign the shortcut, but afterwards fails with "F24 keycode unknown" (not like I'm completely surprised, F24 is indeed exotic). I'll try to debug this tomorrow, this Mic button really wants to be used.

This does not mean Handy can not have single button shortcut but rather an issue with F5/Mic media key.
I agree it is a dedicated microphone key and in USB standard it is a separate "Voice Command" media key.
