Hi, Thanks for sharing! It is always nice to see how our system is being used out there. Also, this could help us inform how we shape our patterns and components in the future. Don't hesitate to reach out if you find any issues in the system or need any assistance from us. |

Hi Cloudscape community!
I'm excited to share an update on a project I've been working on. Some of you may remember my earlier post about the Type Helpers component. What started as a single utility has now grown into Cloudscape Addons - a dedicated site featuring helper components designed to complement the official Cloudscape library.
What is Cloudscape Addons?
Cloudscape Addons is a collection of ~12 components (and growing!) that extend Cloudscape's capabilities with practical utilities that I found myself rebuilding across projects. These aren't meant to replace official components, but rather to fill in gaps for common patterns that fall outside the core design system scope.
Current Components Include:
Type Helpers - TypeScript definitions for cleaner, more readable code
Loading States - Expanded vocabulary for loading indicators
Status Patterns - Common status display patterns
And more utilities for forms, layouts, and data display
Built for the Community
All components follow Cloudscape design patterns and work seamlessly alongside official components. They're open source making them easy to integrate into existing Cloudscape projects. The site includes live demos, code examples, and TypeScript support.
Roadmap
This is just the beginning. I'm planning to continue building new addons over the next year, and I'd love community input on what would be most useful. If there are common patterns you find yourself reimplementing across projects, let me know!
