Subnautica 2 - HDR and Graphics Mod

Instructions:
We need to setup a few ini cvars in order for the mod to work.

1. Go to %localappdata%\Subnautica2\Saved\Config\Windows
2. Create a new text file, and name it Engine.ini
3. Open the file, and paste the below code into it:

r.AllowHDR=1
r.HDR.EnableHDROutput=1
r.HDR.Display.OutputDevice=3
r.HDR.Display.ColorGamut=2
r.HDR.UI.CompositeMode=1

[/Script/Engine.RendererSettings]
r.LUT.UpdateEveryFrame=1

Save the file and close it

Right click Engine.ini, click properties, check "Read-Only", and then "Apply"

Now that we're done with setup, we can download and install the mod!

1. Download and install Reshade with Addon support : Download Here
2. Download the RenoDX mod (on discord for now)
3. Place renodx-subnautica2.addon64 in the game executable directory (example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Expedition 33\Sandfall\Binaries\Win64)

If you have ue-extended instead of the standalone Subnautica 2 reno:

• UPGRADE PATH OFF
• NO UPGRADES

Graphics Tweaks:

• The standalone mod has settings for fog and reflections. The settings shown below should reduce fog banding, noise, and artifacting.
