I'm just wondering about the potential viability/usefulness of a GRUB2 editor for safely managing kernel boot options and boot menu entries, making it easier for users to manage boot parameters, timeouts, and multi-OS setups without touching the command line. Basic features would include:
Inspired by the openSUSE YaST2 bootloader utility, it might be useful to have a Cockpit plugin offering similar functionality for safely managing GRUB2 settings.
I’d be interested in hearing other people’s thoughts about the potential usefulness and design of such a plugin.
