Claude (Chat) - MCP connection lost

I regularly lose the connection between Claude (Chat) and Obsidian. I then get a message that the MCP server is not responding.

It's difficult to make too many guesses from the information you've given here, but the first thing I'd do if I were you is check to make sure your version of Obsidian Local REST API is up-to-date. Versions before https://github.com/coddingtonbear/obsidian-local-rest-api/releases/tag/4.1.2 had a bug that could cause a behavior like the one you've described here.

I could use https://github.com/MarkusPfundstein/mcp-obsidian but then I will lose a few tools. Your repo has more tools.

I have not been looking into it, but have not experienced any similar problems myself. What I would recommend for you is that you ask an LLM to help you troubleshoot. They are really good at that kind of thing!

Obviously I crushed both LLM and Google first. Both acknowledged this issue so they advised me to raise it with you.
I tried a lot of things, but it keeps on getting the timeout error.
