PROBLEM: It's frustrating and slow to just change accounts because the user has to click on the avatar icon, then look for the switch account button, and only then gets the desired option. This leads to irritation.

Image

SOLUTION: Provide an option to switch accounts by simply hovering over the avatar icon. On hover, the switch account menu opens immediately and displays all logged-in YouTube accounts.

ALTERNATIVES: Keyboard shortcuts for account switching, or adding a permanent “Switch Account” button in the top navigation menu.

RELEVANCE / SCOPE: Helpful for users who value speed and efficiency. A large portion of users with multiple YouTube accounts would benefit from this feature.

"SIDE EFFECTS": The feature may break or require maintenance if YouTube changes its DOM hierarchy or UI structure.

CONTEXT: Focused on improving UX efficiency for power users who frequently switch between multiple YouTube accounts.
