Cubite LMS — 27 custom EditorJS plugins for education

We've been using EditorJS as the core content editor for Cubite, a multi-tenant platform for building and hosting learning management systems. Cubite also provides managed hosting and integration for Open edX and Moodle instances.

Each tenant uses EditorJS for course content, blog posts, and page building. We built 27 custom plugins tailored for education and content creation:

• Interactive learning: Jupyter Notebook (in-browser Python via Pyodide), Scratch (visual programming), Prompt Practice, WASM Editor
• Assessment: Poll, Score Quiz, Problem Multiple Choice, Problem Checkbox
• Content: Hero, Features, Testimonials, Call to Action, Email Subscription, Blogs, Courses
• Media: Image, YouTube, PDF, Attachment, Markdown

We've started open-sourcing these plugins. The first one is out now:

• editorjs-code-editor — A code editor plugin with syntax highlighting, multiple themes, and language support

More plugins coming soon. EditorJS was the right choice for us because the block-based, JSON output fits perfectly with a multi-tenant setup — each tenant's content is stored as structured data, making it easy to render with custom themes and layouts.
