Part of https://software.codidact.com/posts/295148:
Some things in the top bar are links that take you to other pages; others are controls that pop out a modal. There's no visual distinction, so users don't know what behavior to expect. I'm not sure how we should address this but don't want to lose track of it.
Things that load a new page:
- Site logo (image)
- Users (word)
- Mod (word)
- Help (word)
- Dashboard (icon)
- avatar/rep (image + number)
- Sign Out (styled text)
Things that produce a modal:
- Search (word)
- Inbox (icon)
- Community switcher (icon)
Should we do something to make the behavior clearer before clicking? Does it matter, or it this "just" a matter of new-user orientation?
