Archon + BMAD ?

Is anyone actively using the BMAD method with Archon? (https://github.com/bmad-code-org/BMAD-METHOD)

I appreciate it's definitely possible as BMAD is covered extensively in the Archon announcement video from a little while back, I just wondered if there were any best practices or how-to guides.

the launch video Cole, showed a little bit how to use it. But not enough for you to use it with archon settings which, I think where the real magic is. I am also using BMAD and just linked archon to my set up. I will be testing it with an existing project that I was going to build a custom RAG for. The other benefits of archon will need to wait for me until there is more documentation on how to customize it, especially for BMAD.

can you explain how you add documentation in archon and used in bmad?

I use opencode with bmad. Here's a method I've used to get some level of integration.

Under settings in Archon there's a universal agents rules toggle under IDE Global Rules. Copy that and put it in your agents.md. Then, with your pm you can tell it something like Create a project in Archon and load my prd and architecture documents. Load the epics as features and stories as tasks. Update the tasks to the proper status.. It should start loading documents, tasks and set them to the right status.

My SM had no problem drafting and my developer saw that there was some qa feedback and started fixing things. I haven't done the full workflow but so far so good.

So to follow up on this. I've moved the archon section in AGENTS.md up to the top of the document and added the following lines to important notes:

- Stories map to tasks in Archon MCP server.
- Always refer to Archon MCP server for task management first.
- Always review the documentation before implementation.

Sometimes you have to remind it due to context rot but that's a model issue.
