@DarkHorse109707 We have had a few problems this year because some people who are members of the collective, but inactive for years, if ever, were hacked, and their account used to force-push malicious changes to several repositories.

Some years ago we were happy to let everyone in, but not anymore. Now we are more critical, for security reasons. Also, a lot of people want to be a member simply to get an extra badge on their GitHub account, without intending to ever actually do anything in the collective.

Maybe you have good plans.

We should probably change the wording of the default issue text, or otherwise change our approach. Personally, I think someone should show what they have already done, especially: create a good PR for a collective package (no random AI-slop with little or no value), and get it merged. Even better: get an existing collective member to vouch for you because they have seen that you have already added real value.
