Use of tone generator software #1
Description
It is unnecessarily restrictive to require a software tone generator to be used specifically. Commercial sound cards may attenuate audio signals at higher frequencies (>20KHz) and so the use of a software generator could create a false positive where the connected computer is filtering the signal rather than the TOE.
Recommend updating the test as well as the desired test environment in the introduction to allow for the possibility of using a dedicated audio signal generator.
