Allow persistent Frontmatter

I use my front matter to organise my papers by subject, which I add in Obsidian instead of Zotero.

Currently, when reimporting a note, the front matter is overwritten with the initial version from the template. Persistent tags won't work because the front matter has to start with '---' on line 1 of the note.

It would be great if there were an option to stop replacing the front matter on reimport.

+1 Here, I suggest to render yaml comments in frontmatter for persisting certain fields, so this template example...

{% persist "created" %}{% if isFirstImport %}
created: {{ exportDate | format("YYYY-MM-DD[T]HH:mm") }}

modified: {{ exportDate | format("YYYY-MM-DD[T]HH:mm") }}

...would result into this...
