Where does the Element-Synapse script create the .well-known files?

Hello, I've been working with the Matrix/Element-Synapse script LXC lately, and I was able to eventually get federation working, since the script at some point creates the matrix/.well-known/client and /server files. However I can't for the life of me figure out where these files are on the LXC or how they're served to the network. I would like to have the ability to modify them for federation changes, but since they aren't stored on my own webserver, I can't. Is anyone able to tell me where these are created and stored?

We dont create anything. Its Just an Repo and apt Install, the rest is managed by this tool

@StuckInAWell This is coming in quite a while after the ask but since I came across this question while trying to troubleshoot some issues with matrix_rtc and went through the .well-known configuration as part of that:

As was said, they're not created during the install.

• If you're using a reverse proxy you can just set header/response with a couple lines in your reverse proxy's config, at time of writing this post if you look at the "Delegation example" for a given reverse proxy in the synapse docs it should have some lines setting them: https://element-hq.github.io/synapse/latest/reverse_proxy.html

• If you're not using a reverse proxy the directory lives in the root of your site, ex. /var/www/example.com/.well-known/. There should be a matrix subdirectory inside that, server and client files inside the matrix dir. If you're having to create them yourself, the content of the file is just the same json response shown in the linked reverse proxy examples.
