Remotes in remotes.json are ignored

I have configured my remotes in usr_dir/.conan2/remotes.json but the recipes are not listed Conan recipe list
in the plugin.

Using conan from shell it works just fine.
CONAN_HOME variable is set correctly.

Thanks for the question.

To clarify, the libraries displayed in the plugin's recipe list are not populated from your configured remotes (in remotes.json). Instead, that list is generated exclusively from the public Conan Center Index.

We run an automated job that updates this dataset daily. You can manually fetch the latest version by clicking the update button (see image below), but please note that this will only refresh data from Conan Center, it will not include packages from your private or custom remotes.

Uh, ok, will this change in future?
For now, this plugin is sadly useless for my usecase.

We have an idea to provide a custom command where you specify which remotes you want extra packages fetched from, and the generated json could be read from the plugin to provide the information.

Would this workflow be an acceptable solution for your use-case? :)
