I'm also using oh-my-zsh on macOS, and it works without any problems. Which version of ZSH are you using? I suspect the issue might be on the ZSH side. Converting this issue to a discussion, since this doesn't sound like a bug on podman side. |

After installing on MacOS the
podmanbinary is not in $PATH when using zsh with oh-my-zsh.Adding
to
~/.zprofileis one way to solve it.I'm not reporting it as a bug because I'm not sure if it should be considered a bug, but it might be useful to test for it, or document it in some way. I've seen both #15542 and #18676.
The issue is that the installer is setting
/opt/podman/binin/etc/paths.d, which is correct, but when usingoh-my-zshspecifically,/etc/zprofileis ignored. Which meanspath_helpernever runs and the paths in /etc/paths.d are not set. It's a very specific use case.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
