I think the instructions need to be updated since they are very unclear.

Hello, I have compiled it with all the commands up to the cargo one in a toolbox since I use fedora cosmic atomic.

The applet lauch with the "cosmic-ext-applet-clipboard" command (but as a mini window up middle in the screen) from the toolbox only.

And it is not visible in the list of panel applets to be add.

How to use the compiled applet in the panel ?

Cosmic-panel will search in a list of directories for desktop entries. Make sure you install the desktop entry in a regular location, and it will show up. Tho, you will also need to have the bin accessible in PATH.

This is a regular applet, you can add it in the panel section of cosmic-settings

Thanks, I managed to make it accessible with the .desktop file now.
Only problem : it shows no icon (but do work). I do not know where to put the icon
