Limit history

Hi,

it would be really nice to configure some sort of lifecycle, to get rid of old/useless/big data

For instance

- keep at most N 'text' elements in history
- keep only one week of elements
- keep at most N Mio of images in memory

Would maybe also help on the reported memory use issues.
