Model movie buffering issues

Alyssa reports that the simulation frames don't all load and the time slider keeps moving forward while the image goes black. We need to handle the buffering better.

@patudom Did she mention whether this was on a phone or a laptop? I'm not able to reproduce this yet on my laptop, Android, or iOS.
