Add a file to explain the design choices of the codebase

Hi! Thanks for this amazing project. I'm trying to learn by example from this project but I believe it would really be beneficial to explain why you are doing things like that.

So beginners and veterans alike can learn to fish instead of having everything done for them :D 

If you need help writing this document, I can assist you with the process of course.
