Countdown clock not counting down

Hey there. I can't get the countdown clock to count down. I've toggled on and off the options, but it doesn't change the functionality. I'm sure that I'm missing something.

I am not sure what you are referring to as countdown clock and which options you have changed

Can you please provide some more context? Maybe a screen grab?

It's my mistake. I thought the Countdown feature was the time remaining TO the cue, and the clock would start counting down when I hit play on the first cue. I see that the feature is only the cumulative time of the cue up to and including the cue. It would be a very helpful feature if you could share the countdown to a specific cue so the tech or whoever needs to pay attention to the timing knows how much time is left until the cue is called. Does that make sense? For example, I attached a screenshot of a "Low Fog Go" cue. If the tech knew that he/she had X amount of time before he/she had to hit go, they could be better prepared for it.

Thank you @Franklindad646 , it seems to me that you may be able to achieve what you want.

The countdown view, by default, counts down to the planned start of an event
If you want to count down to the expected start (a time that follow the current playback) you need to activate "show projected time" in the view settings.

This option will give you a view, that counts down to a cue start following the current runtime playback and offset

Hmm. The above clock shows the time to and including the time of the end of the cue. It's not a live clock that counts down until the beginning of the cue, ie, the cumulative time until the cue. The clock only starts counting down when that cue is triggered. The two preceding cues are 10 & 11 secs, and the Low Fog Go cue is 33 sec long until the next cue. It would be great if the countdown clock started at 22 sec (TRT of the 1st 2 cues) and got to zero at the beginning of the LFG cue. Or whichever cue I highlighted.

Either way, the countdown view shows

• time to start as a countdown to the cue scheduled start, as long as the cue is in the future
• running timer, as long as the cue is playing
• time ended, if the cue has already played

Apologies for not making myself better understood. I'm attaching a screen record of my stage and how the countdown clock functions for me. If it's working as you intended, cool. I would love to see a clock that counts down to a particular cue. Thanks again.

A-ha, understood.

The issue here is that Ontime is using the absolute wall clock.
In your case you are at 17:10 counting down to something that starts at 00:00:21, so Ontime says that the event has ended

In the editor we have the absolute / relative offset and for this case relative offsets is the correct.

I am not sure how we could solve this for countdowns, will try to take a look and come back to this
