Cards without content should align preview thumbnail to the start not end.

In the case of preview cards where there is no card content I think the image should be aligned to the left.

This can easily be achieved by checking the presence of card title and card content before rendering the tag.

In the example below I've hidden the title field which would normally appear in the left content section.

Alternatively an option to align the image to the start or end would be welcomed.

Feels like that would be a little weird if you have other cards that have thumbnails and content.

In this case the image block wouldn't have any other fields shown.
Alternative implementation would be an option to choose the alignment.

I think in most cases aligning the thumbnail to the right looks worse:

• It causes more/larger eye saccades. Especially when the width is large it seems like "more work" to scan the content of consecutive cards.
• It creates trapped white space between content and thumbnail.
• It feels unbalanced when there is no content, since (for left-to-right languages) there's a big empty space at the start.

I understand the reasoning behind this is to keep the alignment of content consistent, but ultimately it doesn't strike me as an ideal solution.

Granted, the above is only my personal assessment and may contain a bit of "who moved my cheese" reaction 🙂
