Reference fields in Global sets for field/tab conditions

Currently, when adding field/tab conditions, the only options shown for the conditions are those fields belonging to the current entry. It would make a lot of sense if field/tab conditions could also be based on the state of any fields in Global sets.

I.e. Show this entry type's field / tab when globalSet.fieldInGlobals is true.

Not a direct solution, but you can reference globals inside the templates of generated fields, and these generated fields are available in condition builders.

What do you mean by "generated fields"? I thought perhaps the UI Elements -> Template element, but while that can see the Globals just fine, I can't seem to reference that in field conditions.

It's a feature introduced just recently in Craft 5.8, you can find more information here, look for the Generated Fields section when editing entry types.

Ahh, right! That kinda-sorta does the trick for now, thanks! However, I wouldn't go so far as to say it absolves my desire for direct reference of global fields, so I'm not going to mark it as the answer. ;)

Just as a follow-up: while this ability is nifty, it's not useful in my case because changing something in Globals doesn't get reflected in generated fields until their owner entry is resaved.
