Windows

• 9P possible using Hyper-V spiked on this and doesn't look good; RHEL doesn't have support/ Fedora has.
• TBD

Linux

• virtiofs makes the most sense if it's supported on all the platforms we want to support
• 9p is probably another option

Fallback

• Implement a sshfs fallback for all platforms?
