Mac OS, app cannot be opened after being used once

Mac OS Tahoe 26.3.1 (25D2128), though this has been a problem for a while now. I am able to get one session a night out of a single installation of the program. I'm not 100% sure if it's a time issue, or some feature (or combination of features) being used, but I can edit saves for a night, a few hours or so and am able to quit and reopen the app freely. However, when I try to open the app the following night, I get the error that "The application 'Pdx-Unlimiter can't be opened" (pictured). The only solution I have found to resolve this is to do a clean reinstallation of the app, and the cycle repears

That sounds very odd. Once it happens, can you try to run the executable manually with /Applications/Pdx-Unlimiter.app/Contents/MacOS/pdx-unlimiter in a terminal?

Tried a couple things from terminal -- running through the package contents results in simply

zsh: killed

I also tried to run the app through terminal, which provided a bit more info:

The application cannot be opened for an unexpected reason, error=Error Domain=RBSRequestErrorDomain Code=5 "Launch failed." I'm going to try the solution here for a similar issue (though this was specifically for Finder, not a third party app).

Do you have anything like a virus protection installed that could quarantine this application for some reason? It have never seen this issue on my mac

No luck on safe mode. Mac OS' security setting haven't flagged it. I do also have Malwarebytes, but it's not indicated that it's quarantined PDX or any other apps. Turning off the protection didn't allow the app to open, but I can run for a bit with it off to see if anything changes with another reinstall

What if you move the app somewhere else from the .dmg, e.g. to the Desktop instead of /Applications
