Lag in collection views

When launching my app with PastelView, the tableviews and collectionviews scroll with a slight lag. Moving the app to background and back to foreground fixes it, also presenting another view controller and dismissing it fixes the issue but I don't understand why.
Does anyone have any clue or a suggestion of how to fix it?
