This catalog is a place where member organizations share work they are proud of and ask each other honest questions about it. The code is short because the expectation is simple: treat one another's shared work, and one another, as colleagues.
It applies to every submission, review thread, pull request, discussion, issue and email that passes through this repository or the site it publishes.
- Ask before you assume. An entry is one team's account of their own work. If something is unclear, ask the contact — in the open, where the next reader finds the answer — before drawing a conclusion in public.
- Credit what you reuse. Submitting a resource never transfers ownership. If you adopt, adapt or borrow from another organization's entry, say so, and say it in your own entry when you publish it.
- Feedback names the problem, not the person. In review and in discussion, describe what does not work and what would; do not characterise the people who built it.
- Reviews are decisions with reasons. A request for revisions says specifically what to change. A declined submission always comes with a rationale, and the submitter may appeal to the full governance committee.
- Keep private things private. No personal or protected health information in entries, screenshots, example data, review threads or discussions. If you see some, tell the maintainers rather than quoting it.
- Disagree in the open, decide by the process. Disputes about a review decision go to the governance committee. Disputes about these rules go there too.
Harassment, personal attacks, discriminatory language, publishing someone's private information, and sustained disruption of review or discussion. Nor is using the catalog's channels to sell to member organizations.
Report a concern to the maintainers at the contact address on the site's footer, or privately to any member of the governance committee. Reports are handled by people who were not involved in the incident. Responses range from a private word to removal of the content or the person from the repository, at the committee's discretion. Nobody who reports a concern in good faith will be penalised for it.
