A new error showed up after restarting Home Assistant.

How do I apply this fix in home assistant ?

@adynis Well, it's really up to how your home assistant is configured, in my case (with home assistant core and python virtual environment) it's something like

cd ~/Git
git clone git@github.com:eugenet8k/pyuhoo.git 
cd .homeassistant-venv/lib/python3.10/site-packages/       # or other current python ver (like 3.11)
mv pyuhoo pyuhoo-original
ln -s ~/Git/pyuhoo/pyuhoo pyuhoo 

So the idea is that you clone the repo with the fix, backup existing pyuhoo dependency, and create a symlink to pyuhoo directory in the repo. Then restart the home assistant.

P.S. My fix is also based on the awesome @wrouesnel 's fix for the auth issue that has been there for months csacca/pyuhoo@53b8056. So you get two fixes together.

Thanks @eugenet8k , I think it's a little bit too much for me :-) I have a normal HomeAssistant instalation on raspberry pi. I connected even on SSH over 22222 port as a root user to see docker files, but ... I'm lost there ... :) I think I will just hope (and wait) that uhoo-homeassistant project will be updated accordingly by @csacca :-)

@adynis you might wait for a while. To fix your case you need to find where Pythons packages are and replace pyuhoo with patched version.

@eugenet8k,assuming @csacca is probably not interested in maintaining that package any more. Have you considered trying to claim the package? Given that it's for bugfixes, the bar is pretty low.

Step one is to at least poke @csacca

I missed to confirm, but in the meantime I followed @andrewleech solutions, commented here: andrewleech#1 (comment) and it worked perfect in my HomeAssistant without no interruption in fetching data in last 2 weeks.

HACS gets it and downloads it without any issues, but once I give it credentials, the integration warns "Retrying setup: None" and gets a red outline. When I check the logs, I get a couple of errors:

Error fetching uhoo data:

Finally, overnight, the card for it in the integrations list stopped being red, found my device... but couldn't pull any data from it, each entity just shows as Unavailable. I checked the logs after that happened and saw this error:
