Emulating interactive inputs with javascript

Question: Is it possible to simulate user input in for example the "input.cvat-player-frame-selector" field on the annotation page with javascript (e.g. bookmarklet)? I have found some general hints on how to achieve this in React-based pages, but no success in CVAT so far... Any suggestions appreciated!

Update: calling click() method on the forward and back buttons in the CVAT-player control works. What I didn't get to work is moving to a given frame number by updating the value in the cvat-player-frame-selector field...
